Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning and scheduling activities across all phases of data center construction, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out. Depending on experience level, the Scheduler will support or independently manage schedule development, progress tracking, reporting, schedule analysis, risk identification, contractor schedule reviews, and recovery planning to ensure projects remain aligned with key milestones and delivery objectives.

The Scheduler will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, providing schedule insights and recommendations while maintaining compliance with project controls, governance requirements, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules covering all project phases.
  • Define schedule activities, sequencing, durations, dependencies, logic, milestones, and project interfaces.
  • Establish and maintain schedule baselines, critical path activities, and project milestones.
  • Track project progress and update schedules based on actual performance and stakeholder inputs.
  • Analyze schedule performance, identify variances, delays, constraints, and potential schedule risks.
  • Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, forecasts, milestone updates, and progress presentations for project stakeholders.
  • Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, schedule impact assessments, and "what-if" scenario planning.
  • Support or develop recovery and acceleration schedules where delays or disruptions occur.
  • Review contractor and supplier schedules for completeness, logic, alignment, and integration with the overall project schedule.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to validate schedule information and communicate schedule updates.
  • Utilize Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Microsoft Project, or similar planning and scheduling tools.
  • Maintain schedule documentation, historical records, assumptions, baselines, and lessons learned.
  • Ensure adherence to project controls, financial, business, and governance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members where applicable.
  • Escalate significant schedule risks, delays, or issues and recommend mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management , Quantity survey or related discipline
  • 3 to 8+ years of relevant experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls within construction, infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or data center projects.
  • Good understanding of:
    • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
    • Schedule logic and dependencies
    • Baselines and milestones
    • Float analysis
    • Progress measurement and forecasting
    • Schedule risk management
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Experience in schedule analysis, recovery planning, impact assessments, and project reporting.
  • Ability to review and manage contractor schedules and coordinate multiple workstreams within integrated project schedules.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate schedule risks and recommendations effectively to project teams and stakeholders.
